“ I lived across from this place for 3 years and I can say without a doubt, its the best place to get dougnuts or a quick bite. The food quality is spelled out in their prices, so dont come here expecting fine dining. Its awesome for caffeine and a doughnut or pancakes and eggs. They also have spam if you want it and previously, the best pork buns in town. However, their porkbun supplier cut back in meat quality over the last year so I avoid them now. The secret sauce to this place is the buttermilk doughnut. Come in around 10pm and they will often have fresh doughnuts waiting. Combined with some milk, these warm doughtnuts will make you forget about your worries in life. ”

“ An awesome donut shop that serves quality yet economical and quick hot breakfast entrees as well. For 4.95 you can grab a Bacon or Suasage, Egg, and cheese sandwich thats makes for a great breakfast. For a couple dollars more you can get an egg plate or an omelette with hashbrowns and toast. ”

“ Its really disappointing to see people leave bad reviews that are based on business decisions the store has made in order to simply survive, and not the actual quality of the food or service. The store not being open when you want them to be open, or not having dozens of different donuts on hand, are business decisions, and calling it out does not belong in a review. Stop being a child and take a moment to understand whats been going on downtown and in SOMA the last few years, and how thats impacted food and beverage establishments in particular. Every time Ive been here, my food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is friendly and excellent. Thats what matters to me. ”

“ Dont be put off by the less than stellar location, they make some of the best raised donuts in the city. The lobby does looks a bit rundown at times however they keep the food case clean and the back of house appears up to sanitary standards. French twists are my favorite, and if you love jelly donuts, know that they dont skimp on the filling. They tend to run out of raised in the early evening, but late night and early morning brings a fresh selection. ”
